WordsWorth is a powerful Dictionary and Thesaurus in reverse. WordsWorth supplies a random definition from 123,288 select words sorted into categories.
The object of play is simply to come up with the right answer word that fits the definition. Very simple but... How's your vocabulary? Thankfully there are some helpful hints to keep things moving along. Many words have multiple definitions, displayed in turn, along with the number of letters and the first letter of the word.

WordsWorth also has more advanced features that display thesaurus relationships between your "Try" word and the answer word, and can even give you a word that rhymes with the answer word. New to Version 1.5 is the "Level of Difficulty" setting that allows you to select the number of definitions as hints to the answer word. WordsWorth can also be used as a standard Dictionary and Thesaurus that has been updated to include over 210,000 words and phrases.

In this version the 5,441 "Mature" category words have been completely omitted. They will not appear at random, or appear in Promptoria’s integrated dictionary/thesaurus, either as a lookup word or within the definitions or thesaurus entries. (Please Note that because of these omitted words some dictionary definitions will appear incomplete)

These versions are completely uncensored. The 5,441 words that make up the "Mature" category include the more colorful words of the day, however, the vast majority are simply of a more adult nature that may be inappropriate for younger or more sensitive users.
WordsWorth "Deluxe" features three extra categories.

The words in Promptoria’s integrated dictionary/thesaurus can be found in any main stream dictionary or thesaurus of similar size and scope. Of course what may be considered inappropriate is subjective and varies greatly from one person to the next. Promptoria maintains a firm commitment to offering our users a choice of software etiquette that best suits their needs.
