Random Character Generator

Pick a genre and an archetype, choose up to five personality traits, and roll. You get a named character with stats, skills, appearance and a backstory you can drop straight into a novel draft or a roleplay session. Then chat with the character to hear how they talk.

What you get

• A name that fits the genre
• Stats and skills
• Appearance and personality
• A backstory with a formative event

Need names only? Try the name generators, from fantasy names to villain names. Need a story for them? Roll a writing prompt.
